Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas has sent a message on Twitter to reported transfer target Kyle Lafferty suggesting he wants him to join him at the club.
Norwich City forward Lafferty has been regularly linked with a move to Leeds, and head coach Steve Evans has made no secret of the fact he is a player he admires.
Dallas and Lafferty are international teammates with Northern Ireland, but with the team not scheduled to play together until the New Year, the chances are that Dallas' message is related to Leeds.
I've a spare room waiting for you in my house with your name on it @LaffK— stuart dallas (@dallas_stuart) December 16, 2015
Steve Evans addressed the possibility of signing Lafferty in his Wednesday press conference, but told the Yorkshire Evening Post the club were looking at other targets too.
The YEP reported a month ago he topped Evans' wanted list along with Liam Bridcutt, who he did sign on loan, but Norwich were unwilling to let Lafferty leave despite him not being part of their first team set up.
Dallas has particular reason to want Lafferty to join him, as he will want his international teammate to get regular football ahead of Euro 2016.
Playing together will only enhance Northern Ireland's chances of making an impact at the tournament, and Dallas seems to be trying to put the pressure on to convince the striker to push to make the move.
Dallas had time to respond, continuing the intrigue.
