Crystal Palace signed Jordon Mutch from Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Jordon Mutch has told Crystal Palace’s official site that he wants to play more often at Selhurst Park.
Mutch was signed by Palace from Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window, but he is yet to make much of an impression at the London club.
The attacking midfielder has only played seven times in all competitions to date, but he admits that his teammates are in very good form.
“Of course I want to play more, but we’ve got a big squad with a lot of quality players so for me it’s all about trying to break into the team and then get that run of games to show what I can do," he said.
"There’s a lot of matches coming up over Christmas and then the FA Cup, so hopefully I get more minutes on the pitch.”
Mutch may be waiting a while to break into Palace’s first choice attacking line-up, if Alan Pardew’s side continue to show such quality.
Palace are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table, and breaking up their offensive line-up seems unlikely.
There are still high hopes for Mutch’s future at Selhurst Park, though, as he has shown glimpses of quality in his fleeting displays for the club so far.
The 24-year-old is blessed with great power, and has good technical ability – and he will be looking to prove he has a part to play as the season progresses.
