Speaking to Radio Yorkshire, Dom Matteo has said that he likes the look of Ademola Lookman of Charlton, and wants to see Cellino scouting and approaching potential signings whilst at games.
Matteo said: “You mentioned the guy on the left-wing [for Charlton]. I like the look of him, maybe they can have a little dip for him. That’s what he [Cellino] needs to be doing at games.”
Lookman, 18, is considered one of the brightest talents currently turning out in the Championship, having started to make an impact upon games this term.
He made his debut against MK Dons at the beginning of November, and has since scored three goals in the following six games.
He played the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Leeds last week, and Matteo has admitted that he is a big fan of the youngster.
Naturally a striker, Lookman can also play on the left-wing, and Matteo has suggested that Massimo Cellino should look at signing players at games, rather than heading into the Leeds dressing room - as has been rumoured.
Ademola is the youngster who Matteo has indicated he likes, but it is not just the ex-Leeds star who is keen on the attacker. If the Whites follow Matteo’s guide and make an approach for Lookman, they will be facing competition from a number of other clubs, with the Daily Mail claiming that Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea have all scouted Lookman this season, and are considering approaching Charlton for his services.
