Steve Evans hails Stuart Dallas's performance for Leeds United against Charlton

Leeds United East Stand

Leeds United drew 0-0 with Charlton Athletic last weekend.

Steve Evans has told Radio Yorkshire that he felt Stuart Dallas was ‘simply outstanding’ in Leeds United’s most recent fixture against Charlton Athletic.

Leeds were only able to draw 0-0 with the Addicks last weekend in what was a frustrating afternoon for the Yorkshire side.

The Whites dominated for large parts of the contest, but they were not ruthless enough in front of goal to grab the three points.

However, despite their failure to win Evans was still impressed by Dallas’s tireless display at The Valley, and he also had praise for his side’s defence.

“I think a lot of the players pleased us,” Evans said. “You can speak about individuals when we win games, but we didn’t win that game.

"But I thought Stuart Dallas was simply outstanding. And we’re defending really well as a unit."

Dallas is still looking for his first goal in a Leeds shirt, after arriving at Elland Road from Brentford during the summer transfer window.

The Northern Ireland international has not been able to showcase his goal-scoring ability, but he has still impressed at the Yorkshire club.

Dallas’s work rate has endeared himself to the supporters, and he has arguably proved himself to be the best player that Uwe Rosler signed during his time at the club.
