Valon Behrami and Victor Ibarbo could be leaving Watford in January, reputed Italian journalist Alfredo Pedula reports.
The duo both arrived at Vicarage Road over the summer, with Behrami signing permanently from Hamburg and Ibarbo heading to the Hertfordshire club on loan from Roma.
However, both have struggled for game time under Quique Sanchez Flores this term.
Behram started the first five games of the season in central midfield, but missed the next three due to a red card suspension. With Ben Watson impressing in his absence, the English midfielder kept his place in the team even when Behrami was back and ready to play.
The Swiss star has played 28 minutes of action since his red card, although he has been struck down by an injury which has kept him out of the last four games.
Ibarbo has only featured in three games this term, and has spent more of the season playing for the Hornets’ Under-21 side. He came on as a substitute in three successive fixtures in late September and early October, and it is hard to see where he fits into Flores’ plans for the future.
The report claims that both could be leaving Watford in January, with Behrami keen to get playing time behind him ahead of Euro 2016, where he will be expected to star for Switzerland.
Udinese, sister club of Watford, are ready to take the midfielder on loan, and the report claims that Ibarbo is also in their sights, although that deal could be harder to close. The winger is on loan at Watford from Roma, and the Zebrette will have to reach an agreement with their Serie A rivals to secure a deal for him.
Watford are ready to move on Ibarbo to seal another deal from Roma, with Juan Iturbe lined up for a January arrival.
