Tottenham defender Fazio looks to be leaving White Hart Lane in January.
Fazio arrived at White Hart Lane last summer from Sevilla, signing with a big reputation after playing 197 times for the La Liga side. He was renowned for his strength and dominance in the air, but the 28-year-old’s frailties have come to the fore in England.
He has never looked composed when part of the Spurs back-line, and Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear this season that Fazio is no longer part of his first-team set-up.
The centre-back has played just 90 minutes of action in all competitions - a poor display in the League Cup defeat to Arsenal - and has made the substitutes bench in the Premier League on just two occasions.
A January transfer looks likely, and with Fazio pushing for an exit from North London, Sevilla seems a potential destination.
The report claims that the La Liga side do have an interest in their former centre-back, although he is not the only name that has been mentioned in transfer talks. Andrea Ranocchia of Internazionale is also wanted, and might actually be favoured by Sevilla chiefs.
Whatever happens with Fazio, it does not appear as if he will be a Tottenham player past the end of January.
