The Belgian press believes Villa are continuing to monitor the player.
Aston Villa are undoubtedly in a relegation battle in the Premier League this term. In fact, it would take the most ardent of Villa fans to suggest that they will in fact stay in the top-flight this season.
Currently the club have just six points and are well and truly out of the running.
If they did stay up it would certainly need to be helped by the arrival of some new faces.
One name that has cropped up is Belgian attacker Dennis Praet.
The Anderlecht attacker is considered one of the top talents in Belgian football and was linked with a move to Villa in the summer.
No deal ever came to fruition but it now seems Villa are serious about bringing him in next month.
It is reported by Het Laatste Nieuws that Villa scouts were in attendance for a recent match between Anderlecht and Qarabag in the Europa League and are keen on signing the player.
The report also makes it clear that Anderlecht will not be selling the player in the winter unless they receive an exceptional offer for the talented 21-year-old.
Aston Villa were linked with a £10 million move for the player in July, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
