QPR fans react on Twitter to Alejandro Faurlin’s performance v Brighton

QPR secured a 2-2 draw with Championship high flyers Brighton.

A Charlie Austin brace secured QPR a 2-2 dra with unbeaten Brighton on Tuesday evening.

The Seagulls opened the scoring through Dale Stephens, and then went 2-0 up just moments later, when Rajiv van La Parra netted in the 55th minute.

It was all doom and gloom for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, but Austin pulled one back 10 minutes later, and then after seeing Lewis Dunk sent off for the Seagulls, Austin tied the game in the 88th minute.

It was from an Alejandro Faurlin corner that Austin’s second goal came, and it connotes the Argentine midfielder’s great run of form that he has been in in recent weeks.

He was central to all the Rs attacking play, and when the 29-year-old is at top form, it is much more likely that QPR will pick up all three points.

He is technically gifted, but also possesses graft and determination which are needed to excel in the Championship, and, on his day, is far too good for the Championship.

Following the game, QPR fans took to Twitter to express their delight at Faurlin’s performance, with one fan calling him the ‘heart and soul’ of Hasselbaink’s team.
