Glenn Hoddle says he was wrong to tip Leicester City to struggle

Glenn Hoddle has a message for Leicester City fans.

Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has admitted he got it wrong over Leicester City.

The Foxes beat Chelsea on Monday night to recapture the lead at the top of the Premier League table, making a mockery of suggestions they would get relegated this season.

After a great start, many have been waiting for Leicester to regress, but they have continued to play at a high level under manager Claudio Ranieri.

Hoddle commented on Twitter to praise Leicester's start, and in the process acknowledging he made an error of judgement early in the season.

The good news for Hoddle is he was far from alone in tipping Leicester to struggle, but not everybody has openly acknowledged their error.

Sadly for the Foxes there will be those who are waiting for the wheels to fall off, and will pipe up then, but right now they show no signs of slowing down, and the transfer window can even work to their advantage if they keep their key players and buy further additions to strengthen their squad.
