Agent of Adrien Rabiot hints at massive U-turn from his client regarding PSG future

The French talent is now content in Paris.

Once again Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is a hot topic for the upcoming transfer window.

The young Frenchman has been linked with moves to the Premier League and Serie A in the past but has never made the switch from Paris.

Considered one of the best talents in France he has, in recent weeks, enjoyed some of his best form in the difficult-to-break-into PSG first-team.

That has not stopped North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal apparently doing battle for the midfielder.

The Metro reported Tottenham as keen at the end of the last month and at the start of December Arsenal were said keen by The Independent as a potential cover option for the injured Francis Coquelin.

Both Arsenal and Spurs have been linked before so the reports came as no surprise.

In the past Rabiot's mother has often acted as his agent but he is now being represented by Arnaud Pericard who suggested to Canal Plus that Rabiot was now happy to stay in the French capital - despite the Premier League links and interest from Napoli.

He stated:

"Rabiot in Naples? Maybe on vacation. No one contacted me on the side of the Italian club.

"Maybe Naples contacted PSG, I can not know, but would suggest that Rabiot would not consider this hidea. Latest contacts with Italian clubs date back two years, when Roma wanted the player.

"It's true that Rabiot asked to go on loan but now he plays with continuity. He held against Shakhtar and Lyon, things could change and he therefore could ultimately decide to stay at PSG."

In the past Rabiot has been keen for a PSG exit but he has played 15 times this season and been a regular recently.

Arsenal and Tottenham therefore have a mountain to climb if they truly are interested in the 20-year-old.
