The winger has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from the new manager.
The former Burton Albion boss has only been in charge of the Hoops for one game, but Hoilett has explained why he is confident that Hasselbaink will be a success at Loftus Road.
"Stability is what I think the club really needs," he said. "Someone, like Jimmy, that can stabilise the club and get us going in the right direction.
"I can see from the early stages, in his passion and everything that he wants to implement, we are going in the right direction. It is great to have a manager that is so desperate to do well for himself as well as the team."
Hasselbaink was presented with a tough task in his opening game, as fifth-placed Burnley travelled to London hoping to extend the gap between the top five in the Championship and the chasing pack. And while the former Chelsea striker may have been pleased by what he saw in the goalless draw with Sean Dyche's men, he will know that he has an even bigger task ahead.
Tonight, Rangers host league leaders Brighton. Chris Hughton's men are still unbeaten in the league this term, and came through a daunting trip largely unscathed against fellow high-flyers Derby County in their most recent clash.
But with the clear lift that Hasselbaink's arrival has given the players, it would not be a shock if Hoilett and co can spring a surprise, and finally end Brighton's long wait for a defeat.
