Leicester City beat Chelsea 2-1 on Monday evening.
Leicester won the match courtesy of goals from in-form duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, and even though Chelsea scored a late consolation through Loic Remy it was not enough.
The Foxes are now 20 points clear of the Blues, and they sit on top of the Premier League table after 16 matches. And Burnley midfielder Barton was quick to praise Claudio Ranieri’s side for their excellent start on social media site Twitter.
Leicester man. Vardy/Mahrez. Just keep on keeping on. off to 'em. #topofthepile— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) December 14, 2015
Cole, too, was keen to praise Leicester, but he did not focus on the talents of Mahrez and Vardy.
Instead, the former Manchester United man was keen to highlight the intensity of the Foxes’ play, after their pressing game worked to great effect against the Blues.

Leicester’s win over Chelsea has put them nine points clear of Tottenham Hotpsur in fifth place, creating talk of their potential to break into the Champions League qualification spots this season.
