Sullay Kaikai is currently out on loan from Crystal Palace at Shrewsbury Town.

Alan Pardew has suggested to Crystal Palace’s official website that Sullay Kaikai will be in his first-team squad next season.

Kaikai has been loaned out to Shrewsbury Town this term and he has impressed at the League One club.

The young winger has been the Shrews most notable attacking talent throughout the campaign so far and Pardew has been encouraged by the youngster’s progress.

“Kaikai is doing really well and he needs to make the path to my first-team next year because that triggers everybody below," Pardew said.

"It needs to be seen from top to bottom that our youth system works – because we think does. Me and Steve (Parish) are working hard to have a youth development system here that is different to everyone else, and hopefully there’s going to be some news to come on that in the near future.”

It has been a while since a Palace youngster broke through at the club and made a real impact on their senior squad.

There are high hopes for Kaikai’s future though, and his style of play certainly fits in with Palace’s policy.

The Eagles have given their attacking players licence to express themselves under Pardew and Kaikai is another unpredictable talent.

The 20-year-old is a skillful wide-man, and his style of play has similarities with the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha.

Kaikai has played 15 matches for Shrewsbury this season and he has scored five times to date.
