Liverpool’s Divock Origi scored during his side’s 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Divock Origi says boss Jurgen Klopp demanded that he does everything in order to bring something to the team as he scored a late equaliser in the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion, the BBC report.

The Belgium international has found himself in and out of the Liverpool first-team this season, often profiting from injuries to the likes of Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge.

The 20-year-old is still regarded as raw at Anfield, yet he has shown his qualities on occasions with a hat-trick in the 6-1 League Cup win at Southampton a particular highlight.

On Sunday, he was tasked with helping his side grab a late equaliser against West Brom and he did just that as his speculative effort from distance took a deflection and flew past the hapless Boaz Myhill.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Origi says he is happy for his goal but must keep on working and show more in order to satisfy the demands of his boss Jurgen Klopp.

"I just kept on working and I'm happy to score," the Belgian said in the Anfield tunnel.

"The coach said I had to do everything to bring something to team, I tried to go beyond defenders and shoot and I managed to get the goal.”

"It was a difficult game because West Brom are a physical side. But we showed mental strength and got a point."

Origi’s last-gasp strike against the Baggies was his first Premier League goal for the club in his sixth league appearance, and it rescued his side a well-deserved point.

The Reds dominated their hosts for long periods and created a host of chances, yet two set-piece goals following Jordan Henderson’s opener looked like giving Tony Pulis’s side an unlikely win.

Origi’s equaliser sees the Reds move above Merseyside rivals Everton and only five points adrift of Manchester United in fourth, a realistic target for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
