Leeds United attacker Stuart Dallas has told the club’s official website that teammate Mirco Antenucci would probably be in the starting lineup of any other side.
Dallas, who can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, made the confident claim following Leeds’s goalless draw with Charlton Athletic away from home at the weekend.
Striker Antenucci did not feature in the Championship game at The Valley on Saturday afternoon and was an unused substitute.
Dallas believes that the Italian is probably disappointed not to be playing at the moment and told Leeds’s official website: “You look at the bench and Mirco is there – he’d probably be playing in any other team. He’s probably disappointed that he’s not getting a game at the minute, but we can change it up if need be.”
Antenucci has been playing pretty regularly this season, although he has not featured in Leeds’s last two games.
The Italian striker is a good footballer and has proved that he is able to play in the Championship week after week.
The 31-year-old scored 10 goals and created 22 chances in 36 Championship appearances for Leeds last season.
So far this campaign, Antenucci has scored five goals and created nine chances in 18 Championship games for the Whites.
