Pedro Obiang featured for West Ham's under-21 side against Arsenal.
Summer signing Pedro Obiang was among the starters as West Ham's under-21 side took on Arsenal.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw, with Alex Pike scoring the goal for the Hammers, before Chris Willock hit a late equaliser.
Obiang was making his second appearance of the season for the under-21s, playing 45 minutes against Wolves back in October.
He has made nine Premier League appearances for them since signing, but started only one league game since September due to injuries.
This was against West Brom a fortnight ago, playing 64 minutes, and he was a substitute against Manchester United a week later, playing 12 minutes.
At the weekend Obiang was an unused substitute against Stoke City, and last night was an ideal chance for the 23-year-old to work on his match fitness and sharpness.
With their injury issues the Hammers can't be blamed for wanting to not rush him straight back as a regular in the first team, but this is a step in the right direction ahead of a busy festive period of fixtures.
