Michael Owen predicts Leicester v Chelsea

Leicester City will face Chelsea at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League tonight.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Colossusbets.com that tonight’s Premier League game between Leicester City and Chelsea will end in a draw.

Leicester will take on Chelsea at the King Power Stadium, and Owen has predicted the two sides to share the spoils.

“I see Chelsea are around 6-4 favourites to win at Leicester on Monday night, and that is obviously pretty hard to justify on this season’s form, even if they did beat Porto 2-0 on Wednesday night,” the former Newcastle United striker has written on Colossusbets.com.

“To think that Chelsea have lost eight, and won only four, of their opening 15 fixtures really does defy belief and there is no way that you can fancy them with any confidence to win at Leicester.

“But the home side have ‘only’ drawn at home to other big clubs such as Man Utd and Tottenham, as well as losing to Arsenal, so I think 1-1 is probably the sensible play here.”

Chelsea have a better team than Leicester, but the Foxes are in much better form and also have home advantage.

Claudio Ranieri’s side will have nothing to lose against the Blues, and perhaps that will enable them to have a go.

Leicester will head into the encounter full of confidence, having defeated Swansea City 3-0 away from home at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.

Chelsea will also be confident of getting something from tonight’s match, but they will need to show more attacking intent and simply cannot rely on sitting deep and then counter-attacking.

Leicester have lost just one of 19 league games since going down 3-1 to Chelsea in April.
