West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady said on the Football Tonight show on BT Sport 1 on Friday evening (December 11) that it would be amazing if the team finished in the top six of the Premier League this season.
“We have had a good start, we have had a few injuries,” said the 46-year-old when asked would be a good season for West Ham. "Definitely top half. Top six would be amazing.”
The Hammers failed to win at the weekend, playing out a goalless draw with Stoke City at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The result means that the London outfit are now eighth in the Premier League table with 24 points from 16 matches.
Slaven Bilic’s side are only five points behind fourth-place Manchester United and just two behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fifth in the standings.
This means that West Ham are certainly in the running for a top-six finish in the Premier League this season and could even get into the top four.
However, what is worrying for the Hammers is that results have not been good in recent weeks.
West Ham have not won a Premier League since October 24 when they got the better Chelsea 2-1 at home.
