Celtic fans praised Dedryck Boyata and Nadir Ciftci after beating St. Johnstone 3-0 on Sunday.

Celtic notched another win in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon, beating St. Johnstone 3-0 at McDiarmid Park.

The Bhoys were looking to notch a win after drawing 1-1 at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night, and they got the three points they were searching for.

A first half goal from Nadir Ciftci got the ball rolling for Celtic, before Dedryck Boyata headed home to make it 2-0 shortly after half-time.

Turkish striker Ciftci then got his second of the game and Celtic's third, securing a fairly comfortable win for Ronny Deila's men.

It was a particularly pleasing performance for goalscorers Boyata and Ciftci, who have come in for stern criticism since signing for the Bhoys during the summer transfer window.

Defender Boyata has had his fair share of ups and downs since joining from Manchester City, but he served up a solid defensive display alongside his goal.

Meanwhile, striker Ciftci hasn't had many opportunities to impress this season, but the 23-year-old will be pleased to have taken his chance whilst first-choice striker Leigh Griffiths is out injured.

After the game, Celtic fans took to Twitter in order to discuss how Boyata and Ciftci performed against St. Johnstone - and despite criticising both recently, the Bhoys supporters praised the duo this time, with some even joking about whether Santa had come early having been so impressed their displays.

Here is how Celtic fans reacted on Twitter after Boyata and Ciftci's displays against St. Johnstone on Saturday afternoon...
