Georginio Wijnaldum impressed as Newcastle earned a second successive win.
Newcastle pulled off an impressive victory over Tottenham at the weekend, with two substitutes scoring late goals.
Aleksander Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez netted the vital strikes to give Newcastle a 2-1 win, their second victory in succession.
BBC pundit Garth Crooks was particularly impressed with midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, selecting him in his Team of the Week.
He described the Dutchman as impressive, citing him as the most influential player in the Newcastle side.
Crooks said: "The Dutchman's seven league goals have been invaluable this season, but against a disappointing Spurs so were his assists.
"The move that set up Newcastle's winner was a beautiful lofted ball from Wijnaldum, when nothing else seemed on. A player with a lot of talent."
Wijnaldum was a summer signing from PSV and is proving his worth already to Newcastle. It has been a tough start to the season for the side, who have been very inconsistent, but they have match winners in the team like Perez and Wijnaldum, and fortunately over the last fortnight they have stepped up.
Next weekend they face a crucial fixture against Aston Villa, where they can put even greater distance between themselves and the bottom placed side, and Wijnaldum repeating his recent feats will be key to them doing so once again.
