Adam Campbell reacts on Twitter to Newcastle and Sunderland results

Newcastle United won in the Premier League on Sunday, while Sunderland lost to Watford on Saturday.

Notts County attacker Adam Campbell has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in Newcastle United’s win in the Premier League at the weekend.

Newcastle made it back-to-back wins in the league with a 2-1 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in North London on Sunday evening.

The Magpies’ bitter rivals Sunderland failed to pick up a single point at the weekend, going down 1-0 to Watford at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.

County also won at the weekend, defeating Newport County 4-3 at home in League Two on Saturday.

Campbell, who left Newcastle for County in the summer of 2015, has stated on Twitter that the weekend was perfect for him due to the results.

Newcastle are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from as many matches, two points above the relegation zone.

Sunderland are second from bottom in the standings with 12 points from 16 games, while County are currently 14th in the League Two table.
