Liverpool may seek new signings in the January transfer window.

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho says boss Jurgen Klopp’s popularity could help the club attract a better standard of player in the upcoming transfer windows, the Daily Mail report.

The German coach is renowned worldwide throughout the footballing community, both due to his success on the pitch with Borussia Dortmund and his charismatic personality off it.

Klopp instantly made an impression on Merseyside, from charming reporters in the conference room to improving the Reds’ performance levels on the field – especially in terms of fitness and energy.

The former Dortmund coach projects positivity and Coutinho feels his presence at Anfield could certainly help the club attract a better standard of player.

“Does Klopp make Liverpool bigger still? With him coming it could attract more good players, for sure. He is a big manager. A top manager. He gives the players a lot of confidence,” Coutinho explained.

“He has a lot of experience. He’s open to listening to the players as well, so it’s good.”

Klopp has already hinted that Liverpool may not be looking to do many deals in January, citing the club’s strength in depth in a recent report published by The Sun.

January deals are notoriously more expensive, but it will be interesting to see of the Reds seek an addition or two if they manage to close the gap on the top four over the next few weeks.

The Anfield outfit currently lie in tenth position, yet victory against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday will see them move to within just three points of fourth-placed Manchester United.

Klopp has plenty of players to work with at the club, yet one area of potential weakness is on the flanks as the likes of Adam Lallana and Coutinho prefer to play narrow and through the middle.
