Sunderland, who lost to Watford on Saturday, will face Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool in their next three Premier League games.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has taken to social networking site Twitter to send an encouraging message to the fans.

Allardyce is looking forward to the Black Cats’ next three Premier League games despite knowing that winning any of them will be tough.

Sunderland suffered a 1-0 defeat to Watford at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The result means that the Black Cats are now second from bottom in the league table with just 12 points from 16 matches.

The festive period will be important for Sunderland, but many Premier League followers will suggest that they may not even be able to pick up a single point from their next three matches.

Sunderland will face Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge next weekend. Allardyce’s side will then take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, before locking horns with Liverpool at the Stadium of Light at the end of the month.

The Black Cats will head into all those three matches as underdogs, but the fans should remain optimistic.
