Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Hugo Lloris from Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Ligue 1 giants, who have reached the last 16 of the Champions League this season, are willing to pay as much as £200,000 per week to the France international goalkeeper.
Big mistake or shrewd business?
Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and arguably the only world-class player in the current Tottenham squad.
The 28-year-old is worth £30 million, and perhaps if Spurs get that much from PSG, then they should at least consider the offer.
However, selling the Frenchman will send out a bad message. After all, Tottenham are a big club in North London and have lofty ambitions of establishing themselves as a top-four team in the Premier League.
Lloris, who has been on the books of Spurs since 2012, should be considered a key part of the club’s future, especially if Mauricio Pochettino’s side qualify for the 2016-17 Champions League campaign.
