The Addicks are keen to keep the striker on board for the long-term.

This week has seen several Premier League clubs linked with a move for Charlton Athletic's gifted teenager Ademola Lookman.

It was reported by London 24, among others, that Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City were all looking to bring the 18-year-old to the Premier League in January.

Charlton have developed plenty of top talents in recent years, with the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Diego Poyet and Joe Gomez all making the move to the Premier League after emerging at The Valley.

Charlton boss Karel Fraeye warned Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City against making a move for the youngster in the week, as reported by London24:

“No. Ademola has only been in first team football for a few weeks. “I am sure he will not be sold in January and be here for the long term."

Now it is being reported by South London Press that Charlton are desperately trying to tie down the teenager to a new long-term contract.

They claim that the player, his father and agent held talks with the club this week and Charlton are very confident that the striker will be signing a new deal with the club in the coming weeks or months.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and any other interested party will need to look elsewhere for a top talent this January.
