The summer signing was awarded man-of-the-match v Stoke City.
It may have ended 0-0 yesterday at Upton Park, but it might go down as the most entertaining goalless draw of the season between West Ham United and Stoke City at Upton Park.
A combination of both bad luck, poor finishing and good goalkeeping meant the game finished without a score despite the best efforts of both sides and plenty of chances apiece.
For West Ham fans however it was a great chance to see one of their new signings in action from the start for the first time in the Premier League, as Michail Antonio made his full home debut for The Hammers.
Antonio has been mostly watching from the sides since his deadline day move from Nottingham Forest, but started the game yesterday and obviously impressed.
The 25-year-old, who cost West Ham a fee in the region of £7 million from Nottingham Forest according to Sky Sports, put in a good performance v Stoke which did not go unnoticed among the fans.
He was voted man-of-the-match on Twitter after the game and sent out his own message after receiving the accolade:
Antonio's early struggles at West Ham have now been helped out by the injury problems at Upton Park and he took his chance yesterday.
He will now hope for more regular football as the season rumbles on, to justify his move from the City Ground.
