Barton played against QPR at Loftus Road for the first time since leaving the London outfit at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
The 33-year-old former Newcastle United and Manchester City midfielder started the Championship encounter on Saturday and played for the entire 90 minutes.
After the match, which ended in a goalless draw, Barton took to Twitter to give his reaction to playing against his former club.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Loftus Road, QPR had 48% of the possession, took 17 shots of which just four were on target, and earned six corners.
Burnley had 52% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned five corners.
Rangers are 13th in the Championship table at the moment, while the Clarets are currently fifth.
