The Birmingham City man suggested a sparring session with the newly crowned British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Boxing champion.
Last night saw Anthony Joshua finally go past the third round of a boxing fight as a professional. He was pushed into the seventh in a tough fight with rival Dillian Whyte.
In the end he finished the fight in spectacular fashion.
He connected with a right to the temple which wobbled Whyte before putting the Brixton man down for the night with a severe uppercut.
It is a wonder who in their right mind would want to get in a ring with AJ at the moment.
Greg Halford, who at 6ft 4ins does look like he can handle himself, posted this message on his Twitter account yesterday:
@anthonyfjoshua yes AJ absolutely buzzing. No limits— Greg Halford (@GregHalford15) December 12, 2015
His comments received a response from a former team-mate at Nottingham Forest. Midfielder Henri Lansbury had this to say to his former team-mate, who left the City Ground on a free transfer this summer.
As much as it is hard to doubt Halford's potential to look after himself, perhaps he should heed the advice of his his old Forest pal.
