Confirmed Celtic line-up v St. Johnstone: Ciftci starts, Tierney on the bench

Celtic face St. Johnstone at McDiarmid Park this afternoon.

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Simunovic, Izaguirre; McGregor, Johansen; Forrest, Rogic, Armstrong; Ciftci.

Celtic substitutes: Bailly, Ambrose, Tierney, Allan, Mackay-Steven, Cole, Commons.

Celtic are back in league action this afternoon as they take on St. Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, just days after facing Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

The Bhoys recorded a 1-1 draw in Turkey on Thursday night, bringing their Europa League campaign to an end after a disappointing stint in the competition.

Manager Ronny Deila will now be looking to focus his attention on winning a fifth straight league title, and today's game at St. Johnstone is a key step towards that goal.

Deila's side has Emilio Izaguirre back in at left back in place of Kieran Tierney, with the teenager dropping down to the substitutes bench.

The midfield features Callum McGregor, Stefan Johansen, James Forrest, Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong, with summer signing Nadir Ciftci given a rare start today.

Scott Allan, Gary Mackay-Steven, Carlton Cole and Kris Commons have to make do with places on the bench today, giving Deila plenty of options if he needs them.
