Alan Shearer and Peter Ramage react on Twitter to Newcastle win

St James Park

Newcastle United have picked up all three points from this evening’s Premier League game.

Alan Shearer has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

The Magpies have won their second successive Premier League game, defeating Spurs 2-1 away from home at White Hart Lane in North London.

Newcastle went behind to an Eric Dier goal in the 39th minute, but they staged a comeback in the second half and picked up all three points.

Aleksandar Mitrovic tapped home the equaliser in the 74th minute, and Ayoze Perez found the winner late on.

Former Newcastle striker Shearer was delighted with Steve McClaren’s side’s performance, and so was Kerala Blasters defender Peter Ramage, who started his career at the Magpies and played until 2008.

Newcastle are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from as many matches, two points above the relegation zone.

The Magpies will take on Aston Villa at St. James’ Park in the league next weekend.
