West Ham co-chairman David Gold expresses his joy at Enner Valencia's return on Twitter

The Ecuadorean has battled injury problems all season but is returning to action this weekend.

West Ham United take on Stoke City later today and go into the game suffering with some serious injury troubles.

Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid are all currently out of action. However they have been given a boost this week by the return to first-team training of Ecuadorean international Enner Valencia.

He is available for the game with The Potters and it is clear from this tweet that West Ham United co-chairman David Gold is very happy with that news:

The Ecuadorean suffered an ankle injury against Astra Girugiu in the Europa League back in July and that ruled him out until late October. His return to action was brief however as he suffered another ankle problem in the game with Everton just over a month ago.

But he is now set for a return to first-team action this month, potentially this weekend, and that will be welcome news to the West Ham fans who have gotten used to the negative when it comes to injury issues recently.

Here's hoping that Valencia can get bring some firepower back into the West Ham team.
