The Algeria international featured against Monaco and is back in contention for a first-team slot.
The Algeria international has had to watch on from the sidelines this season as the North London club have excelled both in the Premier League and in the Europa League.
Bentaleb made a return from the substitutes bench against Monaco in midweek, replacing Eric Dier, and seems ready to stake a claim for a regular starting role again.
The African enforcer has spoken out about his time away from the action and admitted that he is glad to be back after repeated setbacks.
“I had to get my head around it sometimes,” Bentaleb told the club’s official website.
“I tried to come back three times and all three times I had to pull back from training but thankfully I worked really well with the medical department, I listened to their advice and now that’s paid off because I’m back on the pitch.
“I’m feeling 100 per cent now and I’m very glad about that.”
Bentaleb formed an impressive central midfield pairing with fellow homegrown starlet Ryan Mason last season but could well struggle for regular action this term.
Since he has been on the sidelines, Dier has been transformed into a holding midfielder, Dele Alli has stood out and Mousa Dembele looks to be in the best form of his time at White Hart Lane.
Bentaleb is in contention to play a part in Spurs’ Premier League clash with Newcastle later today.
