Jonathan Calleri is clearly a wanted man, with up to five teams in England said to be keen on the player. Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Stoke City and even Brighton and Hove Albion are all said to be keen on the Boca Juniors striker.
Earlier this week, Marca made the claim that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing the 22-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.
Italian source Calcio Mercato report that West Ham have made contact with Calleri's representatives.
However, a move to Inter Milan still looks like his most likely destination.
He told Vavel back in September:
"I have three more years contract with the club. In the future I would get to the Italian League, resembles my style of play. My desire is to play at Inter Milan."
Now Inter Milan boss and former Manchester City supremo Robero Mancini has commented on his interest in the player. He told his official press conference today:
Inter Milan are therefore clearly in the race for the player, who hinted he was leaving Boca in the winter on his official Twitter account earlier in the week.
Given his previous desire to play for the Nerazzurri that is bad news for Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Stoke City and Brighton.
