Gary Lineker and Don Hutchison react on Twitter to Romelu Lukaku sixth goal in a row

The Belgian was on target once again for Everton.

Everton and Norwich City played out a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road earlier today, with Romelu Lukaku once again hitting the back of the net. The Belgian international opened the scoring with a backpost header off a delightful Gerard Deulofeu cross.

It was yet another goal for the young forward who now has 14 goals in 19 appearances for the club this season.

He has also scored in his last seven games and his last six in the Premier League.

Which means he is closing in on the record Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy set just a few weeks ago.

Vardy scored in 11 consecutive games this season to better the 10 previously set by Manchester United's Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Lukaku has some way to go before catching up with the England international, but it was a topic of discussion on Twitter.

Match of the Day presenter and former Everton and Leicester striker Gary Lineker sent out this tweet:

Meanwhile Don Hutchison, the Scottish international who spent two seasons at Goodison Park at the turn of the century, had this to say:

Lukaku will need to score goals against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City to break the record again and his next stop, Leicester City.
