Nottingham Forest fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Henri Lansbury’s performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Championship on Friday evening.
Lansbury started the encounter at Molineux and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Forest played out a 1-1 draw with Wolves.
Ethan Ebanks-Landell powerfully nodded home Jordan Graham's free kick in the 15th minute to put the home team ahead.
Dougie Freedman’s side equalised in the 80th minute through Dexter Blackstock, who volleyed home Lansbury's corner.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Molineux, Lansbury did not take a single shot, had a pass accuracy of 81%, created one chance, put in five crosses, won 17% of his tackles, and made two interceptions and one block.
Forest fans were not pleased with the performance of the 25-year-old former Arsenal midfielder and have made their opinion known on Twitter.
Below are some of the best comments:
Lansbury was playing to team orders shielding the back four, disciplined performance. If you want 2 up front sacrifices need to made #nffc— Twistedfirework (@Twistedfirework) December 11, 2015
Lansbury was way to deep tonight. Can't affect play in that position. #nffc— Steve (@brownmvp1983) December 11, 2015
Weak spot of the team clearly Lansbury and has been all season, needs to be dropped #nffc— Lewis Thorpe (@LewisThorpe2) December 11, 2015
Not concerned re performances of Mendes, Oliviera, Osborn. They've been doing well. Lansbury though does concern me. Ineffectual. #NFFC— Jack Grummitt-Carel (@Jack_Grummitt) December 11, 2015
Lansbury never been a captain. Wanna see a vocal leader! #nffc— Godfather1981 (@Godfather19811) December 11, 2015
Lansbury's second half performance: gave away three free kicks. Fell over. Touched his hair. #NFFC— Oliver Hague (@OliverGHague) December 11, 2015
