Bilic gives injury update on West Ham favourites Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini

West Ham United drew 0-0 with Stoke City this afternoon.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told the club's official Twitter account that he is expecting good news over the fitness of Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet.

The Hammers played out a 0-0 draw against Stoke City today, with Bilic's men unable to take advantage of their 21 shots in front of goal.

The circumstances are difficult for Bilic, considering that he has a host of players out injured right now, in a remarkable run of bad fortune.

Defender Winston Reid, playmakers Manuel Lanzini and Dimtiri Payet, winger Victor Moses and striker Diafra Sakho were all ruled out for today's game, meaning Bilic had to shuffle his squad.

After the game, Bilic spoke to the club's official Twitter account, and actually gave Hammers fans some good news regarding the injuries to Payet and Lanzini.

"Hopefully there is a chance that Manuel Lanzini might be back for Swansea and even Payet doesn't look like a long, long time," said Bilic. "So I hope that Lanzini will be back next week and maybe even Payet in three weeks time, but it's going to be longer for Diafra Sakho, Victor Moses and Winston Reid" he added.

Given that many felt Payet would be out until around March, the suggestion that the Frenchman could be back inside three weeks is a shocking revelation from Bilic - and should be a major boost for West Ham fans this evening following their draw against Stoke.
