Report: Aston Villa want to make three additions in January

Aston Villa are on the lookout for a goalkeeper, a creative midfielder and a striker.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Aston Villa will be looking to make three additions in the January transfer window.

Remi Garde is eager to add quality to his Villa side at the next opportunity, as he looks to guide them away from trouble.

The Claret and Blues have not won for 14 Premier League matches, stretching back to the opening day of the season, and they are currently seven points away from safety.

Villa know that they will need to invest in January if they are to stand any chance of retaining their Premier League status, and Garde is already formulating plans.

According to the Telegraph, the French boss is hoping to sign a goalkeeper, a creative midfielder and a striker in January, as he looks to improve the quality of his squad.

Brad Guzan, Villa’s first choice shot-stopper at present, has looked shaky so far, and Garde is said to be unconvinced by the American.

The Villa boss is also keen to increase his side’s attacking threat.

The Claret and Blues have struggled for goals this season, and their lack of a clinical striker has been one of their biggest downfalls.
