The Millers may go into the game second from bottom in the division, but their recent form has hinted that they are certainly contenders to survive the drop, with two wins in their last three games. However, Redfearn suggested that the continuation of Rotherham's recovery will likely depend on whether they can keep the Scotland international quiet.
"Blackburn are a good side, some good players," he said.
"They have got the best striker in the division in Jordan Rhodes.
"It's not so much when Blackburn are in possession, with Jordan, it's when we have possession and are attacking.
"His movement and where he takes defenders, how he gets in behind defenders, I think is probably Premier League class.
"If you give him time and space in and around the box, he's lethal," he added.
The Yorkshire Post reports that Sheffield Wednesday are being linked with a move for the 25-year-old. But with an impressive 82 league goals in 151 appearances for the Ewood Park outfit, it is certainly a surprise that no top flight team has been willing to take a chance on the former Huddersfield Town man.
Despite one more goal than his strike partner last season, Rhodes had to look on as Rudy Gestede was signed by Aston Villa in the summer.
But while there is no doubt in Redfearn's mind about what level Rhodes should be playing, he will be hoping that he misplaces his shooting boots for today's game.
