Gary Gardner posts message on Twitter ahead of Nottingham Forest's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Nottingham Forest are set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux later this evening.

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to Twitter to wish good luck to Nottingham Forest ahead of their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds are travelling to Molineux this evening, and they are set to face a tough test against Wolves.

Gardner is keen for Forest to get the three points in the contest though, after he spent time on loan at the City Ground last season.

Gardner spent the back end of last term with Forest, and his performances in their midfield were highly impressive.

The 23-year-old is still fondly remembered by Forest supporters, and he clearly still feels a lot of affection towards the Midlands club.

It seems unlikely that he will return to them on loan again, though, as Gardner has been tipped to have a first team future at Villa.

The England youth international has struggled with injury throughout the campaign so far, but when he does return to fitness, he is expected to get an opportunity at Villa.

If Forest beat Wolves tonight, they will move up 12th place in the Championship table.
