Eddie Gray predicts Leeds United's starting line-up against Charlton Athletic

Leeds United are set to take on Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Saturday.

Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has told LUTV that he cannot see Steve Evans making many changes against Charlton Athletic.

Leeds played in a 4-3-3 system in their 2-1 win over Hull City, and Gray believes that Evans will stick with that formation on Saturday.

The former Scotland international also predicts that Evans will start with pretty much the same personnel, with Gaetano Berardi the only player likely to come in.

"I can’t see Steve changing our formation to play against Charlton," he said. "He’ll play to our strengths, and I think it’ll be the same line-up – with only Berardi coming back."

If Berardi does start against Charlton, he is likely to replace Scott Wootton at right-back.

The Swiss international has missed Leeds’ last two matches after being suspended, but he has proven to be a very reliable performer this term.

If Leeds can beat Charlton it would raise spirits around Elland Road, and also launch them towards a mid-table spot.

Three points for the Whites could see them move up 13th place in the Championship table, if other results went in their favour.

Charlton will be determined to pick up a result themselves, though, as the London side are currently stuck in the relegation zone.

Gray's predicted Leeds line-up vs Charlton: Silvestri, Berardi, Bellusci, Cooper, Taylor, Bridcutt, Adeyemi, Cook, Mowatt, Dallas, Wood.
