There hasn't been a great deal for Chelsea fans to shout about this season. Having won the Premier League title last season, many expected the Blues to repeat the trick this term, but it's been a nightmare for Jose Mourinho's men so far.
With just four wins to their name in the league, Chelsea sit in 14th place, only two points clear of the relegation zone after another stunning defeat last weekend, this time losing 1-0 at home to recently promoted Bournemouth.
The failings this season have piled the pressure on manager Mourinho, and fans are also desperate for their Portuguese manager to change something.
Specifically, they are keen to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek given a chance in the first team. A Blues player since the age of eight, Loftus-Cheek has come up through the ranks, and gives Chelsea a rare chance to develop a homegrown player, given that they have often been criticised for their lack of youth policy.
This term, Loftus-Cheek has played just 64 minutes of Premier League action, with one start and two substitute appearances; hardly enough time to prove his worth.
A young, athletic, fearless player could spark Chelsea in to life, and fans are particularly frustrated given that one of their London rivals are showing them how it's done.
Tottenham famously brought through Harry Kane last season, but the impact of midfielder Dele Alli this season has been sensational. Playing in League One last season, Alli has burst on to the scene in the top flight, scoring three goals already this term - as well as a goal for England against France.
Both Alli and Loftus-Cheek are 19, possess great athleticism and have been tipped for bright futures. The difference right now is that Alli has been given the confidence and belief by manager Mauricio Pochettino to go and make an impression in the top flight, whereas Loftus-Cheek is sitting on the sidelines at Chelsea.
Over the past few weeks, Chelsea fans have been voicing their frustration at the situation, and have taken to Twitter in order to urge Mourinho to look at what Pochettino is doing at Spurs and give Loftus-Cheek a chance, just as Alli has been given at Tottenham.
Here are some of the reactions from Chelsea fans on Twitter, suggesting that Mourinho should let Loftus-Cheek copy Alli's success this season...
Alli at Spurs is what RLC should be at us. I hope more than anything this season Jose gives him a long run.— Freddie (@Azpbae) December 7, 2015
If RLC actually got the chance he could be doing exactly what alli is doing but better... Instead we stick with cesc— Robbie (@ButtRobbie) December 6, 2015
Everytime i see Dele Alli play, get into England squad and get praise etc. I just think RLC could be so much better if Jose would play him.— Daniel Michael Gray (@dgray267) December 5, 2015
Everyone lately raving about Alli when that could have easily been RLC had he been given the chance to start for any team really in the PL.— Redouane (@RedouanLouche) November 25, 2015
Loftus Cheek has the size and the physique over Dele Alli. The only things Alli has over Ruben is game time!— SC (@Loftus_Cheeeeek) December 4, 2015
Dele Alli is a poor man's Loftus-Cheek. But with proper management, Alli got his first England start.— Hazardo (@FinallyMartin) November 24, 2015
Reuben Loftus Cheek gotta be FURIOUS with the success of Alli— Mike Hunt (@SeviesSon) November 22, 2015
Dele Alli legit makes me happy even tho he plays for Spurs. Such a good talented player. Wish cfc had that faith in RLC— Shivam Manghnani (@shivamLM) November 18, 2015
