Arsenal reportedly in talks with Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin over January move

Arsene Wenger is apparently keen on bolstering his attacking options next month.

Arsenal are reportedly in talks over a January move for Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old will be available on a free transfer in the summer, but Arsene Wenger is hoping that he can do a deal next month as he looks to strengthen the Gunners' chances of winning the Premier League, The Sun reports, and thus, he's willing to spend £4.3m on the Russia international.

Although Moscow have been underwhelming in the Russian Premier League this season - finding themselves 10th in the table, just four points clear of the relegation play-off places - Kokorin has been quite impressive. His tally of four goals from eight games makes him the side's joint top goalscorer this term.

While Kokorin has arguably not done enough to rival Olivier Giroud or a fully-fit Theo Walcott for a starting spot, the progress he has shown so far during his career - with his second spell with Dynamo already reaping more goals than his first spell, during which he made nearly twice as many appearances - suggests that he could be a useful rotation option, especially for just £4.3m.
