Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin worked with current Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew at Southampton.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Southampton are missing Morgan Schneiderlin.

Schneiderlin left Southampton for Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The France international midfielder played for the Saints from 2008 until the end of the 2014-15 season and worked with Pardew at St. Mary’s Stadium during the 2009-10 campaign.

Pardew, who was appointed the Palace manager during the middle of last season, has suggested that losing Schneiderlin in the summer was a big blow to Southampton.

Schneiderlin has scored one goal and created two chances in 12 Premier League appearances for United so far this season.

The Frenchman has a pass accuracy of 90% and a shot accuracy of 33%, and has won 11 headers, four dribbles and 25 tackles.

United are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment, while Southampton are in 12th position.
