Connor Wickham has failed to score in any of his appearances so far for Crystal Palace.
Alan Pardew claims that Connor Wickham will be influential for Crystal Palace in their match against Southampton on Saturday.
Wickham has made a slow start to his career at Selhurst Park, and he has failed to hit the back of the net in any of his seven appearances for the Eagles.
However, Pardew insists that he is not concerned by the 22-year-old’s lack of goals, as his overall game has helped others to thrive.

Wickham has made a considerable contributions in Palace’s recent 5-1 win over Newcastle United and 1-1 draw with Everton.
The powerful forward held the ball up well and brought others into play in both of those matches, but he will be eager to start getting on the scoresheet.
Palace have lacked a clinical finisher all campaign, and if they can find a potent goalscorer, then there is no telling just how high they could climb.
As things stand, Palace are in sixth place in the Premier League table, and if they are able to beat an out-of-form Southampton side, the talk of their potential to claim a European spot would only increase further.
