Taking a look at who Liverpool should sign and who they should wave goodbye to next month.
The January transfer window is fast approaching and that will give Jurgen Klopp his first opportunity to strengthen his squad since taking charge at Anfield in October.
Since then the Reds have made good progress – Sunday’s defeat to Newcastle aside – but Klopp will no doubt have his eye on certain players as he bids to make his mark on the club.
Here we take a look at two players Liverpool should sell and two they should sign when the transfer window opens once more:
Leroy Sane is a 19-year-old winger who has everything in his locker to ultimately become one of the best attacking players in Europe.
Currently at German club Schalke, Sane has scored five goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances this season and Klopp will be well aware of him.
While the Reds already have plenty of exciting young players on their books, they should go all out for Sane before it is too late.
This may be an unlikely one, but how Liverpool could do with German international Mats Hummels in their back-line.
Klopp will know him extremely well from their time together at Borussia Dortmund and with his contract expiring in 2017 Hummels’ value is only going to decrease with each passing transfer window.
Joe Allen has rarely featured for Liverpool this season and while injury ruled him out of the opening weeks of the campaign the Welsh international is now fully fit.
A regular in the Europa League, Allen has made just one start in the league all season and with Euro 2016 right around the corner he may need to move to guarantee his place on the plane.
Yes, Jose Enrique is still at Liverpool, but surely he will not be there for much longer.
The right-back has not featured for the first-team all season and while he is currently out injured, if he is back in time for the January transfer window it would be no surprise to see him shipped out permanently.
