Report: Tony Pulis willing to sell West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino

West Brom - The Hawthorns

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in signing Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis would be open to selling Saido Berahino in the January transfer window.

Berahino’s future at the Hawthorns has been speculated on since the summer, when Tottenham Hotspur were determined to sign him.

Spurs launched a prolonged bid for the 22-year-old striker, but they were unable to force a deal over the line.

Since then, Berahino’s focus seems to have wandered, and his form this season has been poor.

Berahino was the Baggies’ top scorer last season, but he has been forced to play a peripheral role this time around, and dropped to the bench.

Although the forward remains one of West Brom’s most talented players, Pulis reportedly would be willing to sanction a deal.

The Baggies hierarchy, however, do not want to deal with Tottenham – meaning that if Berahino is to leave, it is unlikely to be to move to White Hart Lane that is made.
