Emmanuel Riviere... remember him?
Newcastle United fans no doubt do, despite the forward producing little of note last season. What he did produce was a series of forgettable displays and some no-so-forgettable open-goal misses.
That's why it's fair to say Riviere, despite being well remembered for the wrong reasons, has become a forgotten striker at St James' Park.
The 25-year-old has, in truth, suffered from injury this season and, in the interest of squad depth, many Newcastle fans may well be pleased to see him in training on Thursday afternoon.
But whether he can make a difference within the Magpies' current squad is another matter. Form has been a worry this season, although last Sunday's 2-0 win over Liverpool lifted morale and proved that Newcastle can deliver when they fancy it.
It's simply a matter of that level of application being produced every single game. Georginio Wijnaldum and Ayoze Perez have been the standout Newcastle players going forward. Can Riviere possibly match them at his best?
Newcastle travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
