The talented youngster has been a star attraction for Southend United recently.

Nottingham Forest are looking to the future with their youth team at the moment and they have made a move to sign one of Southend United's top talents this week.

It was confirmed yesterday by The Southend Echo that youngster Keith Asare had signed schoolboy forms with Nottingham Forest, bringing to an end his association with the Essex club.

The player is certainly talented. He has recently played for Southend in the FA Youth Cup. It was however an appearance that saw the fixture with Barton Rovers replayed, because Asare was too young.

The teenager himself confirmed the move to Forest on his Twitter account earlier in the month and he is clearly excited to get to work at a club with the history of Forest. However, he also had big words of thanks for The Shrimpers for the help they gave him in his development:

Asare is a talented attacker and he has a wonderful array of tricks, judging by some of the videos of him online stepovers can be expected.

It is a few years yet before he will feature in the Forest first-team, but it looks as though the club have a real top talent on their hands.
