Enner Valencia sends Stoke message on Twitter ahead of weekend clash

The West Ham forward has fond memories of facing the Potters.

Enner Valencia took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to express his hope of West Ham United earning three points against Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has fond memories of facing Mark Hughes' men last season.

And he wants West Ham to get back to winning ways against Stoke this weekend, having seen their strong start to the league campaign slow down somewhat.

Interestingly, West Ham have failed to score more than once in each of their last five Premier League games - while Stoke have certainly hit form.

The injury losses of Dimitri Payet and Diafra Sakho have no doubt played a big part in the Hammers' downturn in the final third. But West Ham did deliver a solid display at Old Trafford last weekend, where they were one Mauro Zarate miss away from taking all three points.

Slaven Bilic's men will also have home advantage against Stoke - will it be enough to lift them back into the top six this weekend, with West Ham currently sitting seventh in the Premier League table?
