Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has claimed that Riyad Mahrez is a player of very high potential at his latest press conference.
Jamie Vardy has made most of the headlines for Leicester this season, after breaking the Premier League record for scoring in 11 consecutive matches.
However, after Mahrez netted a hat-trick in Leicester’s latest match against Swansea City, the Algerian winger has taken some of the attention away from his free-scoring teammate.
And Ranieri was all too happy to talk about the quality of another one of the players in his Leicester squad.
CR: “Mahrez is a good player and he’s still improving. His potential is very, very high.” #LeiChe— Leicester City (@LCFC) December 10, 2015
Mahrez has been in wonderful form this season, and he is flourishing under Ranieri’s leadership.
The 24-year-old has been exciting to watch ever since he moved to the King Power Stadium, but his end product has come into question previously.
This season, though, Mahrez has been in sensational form and he has added a great deal of cutting edge to his play.
The former Le Havre wide-man has helped Leicester to become the top scorers in the Premier League.
Mahrez has netted 10 times in 14 appearnaces for Leicester this season, and he has also contributed five assists during these matches
